Mossel Bay Sprint and TRI Challenge and Junior Triathlon, 7th October 2012

Enter in the Sprint Tri (750m swim, 20km bike, 4km run) or the Tri Challenge (400m swim, 10km bike, 2km run)
The Sprint Tri and Tri Challenge are Open to all All ages from 12 to 80
The winning School will receive a floating trophy. The best school will be determine by the position of the relay teams as well as the position of the individuals. The more teams and individuals compete, the more points the school will get.
The event will give you the best views of the town of Mossel Bay. Swim will be in the sea at Santos Bay, while the cycle will take you to the highest points in Mossel Bay. The run is flat and fast.
Enter the Sprint Tri as an Individual or as a Relay Team, challenge your friends and school mates.
Development Race: There will also be a Development race category called Adopt a Swimmer for those that would like to compete, but that can not swim. One swimmer will swim for a few triathletes. You just have to bike and run. The swimmers will be organised by the Race Organiser.You still have to enter via the online entry form. You will not receive any prizes, but will receive a finisher medal.

11.30 Ages 16 to 19: 750m swim, 20km bike, 4km run
11.30: Sprint Tri (all ages) 750m swim, 20km bike, 4km run

Late entries on Sunday from 8am to 9.30am: additional R 30 late entry fees (exclude the temporary TSA license) after the 4th October (NO exception).
TSA Day license = R70 per Individual and R70 per team.
Entry fees is non refundable and non- transferable, NO exceptions

All athletes of all races must be present for race briefings
Athletes must be ready for another 5 minute race prior to each event and all competitors must attend

Directions to the Start:
Take the N2 from Cape Town to Mossel Bay, take the Hartenbos turn off, turn left,then right at the traffic lights. Take the old road from Hartenbos into Mossel Bay.Drive about 5km. Turn left at the traffic light “De Bakke” and drive for about 2 km,turn left at the sign “Santos Beach Express Restuarant” and drive to the parking/transition area at thebeach.

Route Description:
Swim: The swim will be in the Santos Bay either a loop of 400m or 750m
Cycle: The cycle for the Tri Challenge and ages 12 to 15 will be a 2 x 5km loop towards the Point and back. One lane of the road will be closed for the Cyclists and will be patrolled by the Traffic Police. The cycle for the Sprint Tri will be a 1x 20km loop towards the Point, onto Montugu road, onto Marsh Street up the hill until the Dana Bay turn off, then back and down towards the Santos Beach.
Run: The run will be a 2km loop from the Transition along the railway road until the De Bakke and back along the Santos park. The Finish will be in front of the Pavilion Restaurant on the beach.
