Wildehondekloof Private Game Reserve Hiking Safari
The Hiking Safari takes place in the Gardenroute, South Africa at Wildehondekloof Private Game Reserve. You will be able to hike alongside the Giraffes, the rare Mountain Zebra, the Hartebees, Wildebeest and many more. The hiking routes are at the foothill of the Swartberg mountains. You will have amazing views over the mountains.
Each day will be pact full of Adventure but you can also relax in the afternoon and enjoy a massage or just enjoy the Nyala in front of your accommodation while the fires is burning in the fire place inside your room or at the lodge. Enjoy a lunch in the Wild each day, a Game drive and exclusivity of the Game Reserve.

Age limits
Age Policy and Requirements
- The minimum age for participation is 16 years.
- Participants aged 65 and older must provide a letter from their doctor confirming they are fit to hike the daily distances.
- The maximum age for participation is 70 years.
Exceptional Cases
- If you believe you are a very fit individual over 70, please contact Janine at janine@trisport.co.za for approval before registering.
Physical Fitness and Terrain
- Participants must be capable of navigating technical sections over rocks and walking off-road through bush, steep granite koppies, and hills. We do not follow set hiking trails; terrain can be challenging and unpredictable.
- You must be able to walk at least 12 to 18 kilometers per day.
Important Notice
- If you are unsure about your ability to handle the hikes, it is your responsibility to contact Sonja at sonja@trisport.co.za prior to registration.
- We do not accept responsibility for participants who are not physically fit or unable to complete the technical sections. Your fitness level must not impact the group’s safety or experience.
- Participants who are unable to meet these requirements will not be permitted to hike with the group but are welcome to undertake shorter hikes independently in the area.
Fitness level and Terrain
This hiking tour is not suitable for beginners who only hike on flat and easy surfaces like tar or gravel roads.
You must be able to navigate some technical sections over rocks and walk off-road through the bush. We don’t follow set-out hiking trails. The terrain can be challenging.

– A Garmin InReach (to be used in case of an extreme emergency only, not when you are tired)
– A helicopter for airlifting, with the understanding that you will be held liable for the cost of evacuation.
Wildehondekloof/De Zeekoe
The 3-Day Mountain bike tour takes place in the Gardenroute, South Africa at Wildehondekloof Private Game Reserve and De Zeekoe Guest Farm. These 2 venues each offer something unique to the rider. De Zeekoe is a working Guest Farm on the banks of the Olifants river and Wildehondekloof Private Game Reserve is nestled at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains. The vegetation at these 2 venues are completely different. De Zeekoe is typical Klein Karoo and Wildehondekloof is typical fynbos with lush bush against the mountain. You will exclusively cycle on these venues on jeep tracks, you will cycle alongside the Giraffes, the rare Mountain Zebra, the Hartebees, Wildebeest, Eland, Nyala, and many Wildlife. You will also have the opportunity to summit the famous Swartberg pass in the Klein Karoo!
Each day will be pact full of Adventure but you can also relax in the afternoon and enjoy a massage or just enjoy the Nyala in front of your accommodation while the fires is burning in the fire place inside your room and in the main lodge.

Not suitable for Beginner MTB Bikers. E Bikes a good option for fit beginners.
You must be able to do 55 km and ride on some sandy patches, rocky sections, although most of the route is on gravel roads and jeep tracks.
